Good news for Year 8 parents! Mr Robertson has managed to find a spot for signal and has text over an update from France…
We are currently practising our French in the historic market town of joyeux before heading to lunch by the Pont d’Arc and then trekking and setting up a bivouac site for a night under the stars.
Yesterday saw the girls challenging themselves around a high ropes course. Everyone managed at least one course, with some completing the most difficult course, 50 feet off the ground. The campsite staff were then astounded by the talent show that half of the girls put on whilst the other half were perfecting their putting skills around the mini golf course.
The 17 hour coach journey was forgotten by the end of the day. The enjoyment of the rock climbing was only surpassed by the experience of weaselling.
Who would have thought that Knightsbridge girls would love crawling through dark, muddy, tiny gaps with each of them competing for the dirtiest clothes at the end of the day!
Unfortunately the river is too high after last weeks rain and the planned canoeing is unsafe. The girls are instead trekking to a cave and going on a treasure hunt through the woods.
The girls spent last night having a BBQ followed by hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows. Twelve girls managed to then spend the whole night out under the stars.
No news from Miss Brown today. I know they have had an extremely busy day packed full of activities so we’ll let her off!
Mr Hegarty has been sending through a steady stream of photo’s from Devon. Here is how the year 9’s spend their day yesterday…
It’s a sunny evening here and we have just been on a coastal walk. Sublime conditions as the girls ventured along the shore checking tricks and pools and basically looking for treasure !
