Last night the much anticipated ‘Race for Life’ took place in Battersea Park.
The girls stayed after school for a packed tea and got changed into their performance enhancing sportswear (pink fluffy headbands, whiskers etc) and headed down to the park for a few warm up stretches.
Ready! Get set! GO!
At 7.30pm the girls, teachers and parents sprinted off ahead on their 5km journey. The weather was against us, grey skies and drizzly rain was not what we had imagined for a June race but nobody let it phase them.
The girls were encouraging, upbeat and determined to see the finishing line. What an inspiration!
We are very proud of everyone that took part and helped raise money for such an important cause – Cancer Research.
So far we have raised £1,010 but it is not too late to donate! Click HERE or see the post below to donate.
