Activities Week has finally begun with Year 7 in Germany, Year 8 in France, Year 9 in Knapp House Activities Centre and Year 10 at the Duke of Edinburgh. It is going to be a jam – packed week full of fun and different adventures.
With Day 1 already down, Miss Brown in Germany has sent over some pictures and a report of what our Year 7 girls have been up to:
Grüße aus Boppard!
We have reached our destination of Boppard am Rhein, a small Germany town on the river Rhine. The journey went well; our coach driver John is great, he has been to the area many times before and he was very impressed as all of the girls were extremely well behaved. We arrived around 7pm local time and after quickly unpacking our things we went for dinner. The food was delicious, we had salad to followed by Schnitzel and Chips – a very German meal to start the trip. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and every evening there is a singer who entertains the guests. It didn’t take long before the girls were up dancing and then all tried to get up on stage to do karaoke. Caroline and Jasmine sang Adele for us and then everyone got involved to give the other guests the More House version of ‘Happy’ by Pharrel.
Today is going to be a busy day; we are going to explore Boppard and then head to Koblenz where there is a lovely swimming pool. Everyone is very excited about the first full day in Germany and we hear the weather is going to be lovely!
