As I opened the front door on Monday morning, in flowed the stories from the Language trips to Spain and France. I hope that you have managed to catch up with the photos and Suhayla’s account on the blog, as you will see that they had a fantastic time.
Today is Mufti Day for the London Communities Foundation and the theme is ‘Famous Londoners’- check out the pictures! We are raising money for the group of staff who are busy training for the London Marathon in April. They are up to the 15miles this weekend and so please help them out by donating to this very local cause – www.justgiving.com/morehousemarathon2015
On a sporting note Miss Minto and her team of U13 hockey players returned to school on a high having beaten Queens Gate 1-0. Mrs Crowder’s Form Assembly told us how 12 minutes of exercise per day boosts our academic achievement especially in English, Maths and Science. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-24608813
Last night we held the Year 9 GCSE Options Evening and it is hard to believe that these young ladies are already thinking about the next step in their education. It only seems two minutes ago that they were in Year 7!
Next week the Parents’ Association are holding their Make Up Evening followed by the Parents Quiz Night on 12th March – there are still some tickets available from the Office.
Have a lovely weekend
Mrs Amanda Leach

The CAFOD Lent 2015 Fast Day prayer:
Creator God, who made our beautiful world,
appointed us as its guardians
and gifted us with everything we need,
for the times we cause it harm;
for the times our way of life
affects our neighbours.
to care for the environment;
to help rebuild lives and communities;
to share in the griefs and anxieties,
joys and hopes of all your people,
so that all your creation may flourish.
