Dear Parents,
Last Sunday I was privileged to attend the Confirmation of four Year 8 girls at Westminster Cathedral. Congratulations to Aoife, Maud, Olivia and Georgie and thank you to Bishop Nicholas, what a wonderful day it was for all of them.
On Tuesday afternoon, Rev’d Scott Lamb, led our Pre Exam Service with all our girls who are about to take public examinations. He reminded us of the parable of the talents and the meaning behind it. He spoke about a friend who had used his ‘talents’ to transform lives around the world. Have a look at http://www.vinetrust.org/home As we all lit a candle and pinned a prayer to our prayer tree, we were made to think about using the talents we have been given and not hiding them away.

Congratulations to the U13’s Rounders team for a win against Portland Place. The lunchtime practices seem to be paying off!
The highlight of this week has been the More House Election. Girls and Staff went to the Polling booths in the Dining room and the count was more exciting than the real thing! I must say congratulations to all the party leaders; Manaal, Hatty, Alex, Chalrotte and Anna, for all their handwork which went into their campaigns. It was very close between them all and it was Manaal who brought the Conservatives to victory.
Have a lovely weekend,
Amanda Leach
The weeks ahead
Monday 11th May | 6pm: Activities Week Meeting |
Friday 15th May | Year 9 History Trip to Ypres Battlefields |
Prayer of the Week by Bella (Year 10) read in 10C’s assembly on labelling.
Dear God,
We pray for those who have been victims of labelling and we pray for those that we hurt by labelling. Please help us to remember to love our neighbour as ourselves. Help us to remember, before we speak, that we are all created equal.
Amen
