Dear Parents,
Yesterday was the annual music competition where we invited back Ellie Moran (ex singing teacher) to do the difficult job of judging the exceptionally high standard. She was very impressed by all the performances and we shall showcase some of the winners at the summer concert, so please make sure you have 1st July in your diaries. The girls will receive their prizes and certificates after half term. Congratulations to everyone who took part!
A huge congratulations to Maud and Grace who have been selected to represent the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in the London Youth Games. Well done also to U12 Rounders A &B teams for winning against St James.
There was a sad moment on Wednesday when we said thank you and farewell to all the School Officers. They have done a fantastic job in their various roles and I am sure they will continue to be leaders when they enter the big wide world. On Thursday, the Upper Sixth asked Brahim for their final lunch of ribs, curly fries and chocolate crisp. The whole school seemed to be excited by their choice! We wish all the Upper Sixth good luck as they go off on Study Leave today and prepare themselves for their A Level examinations.
Don’t forget to have June 3rd in your diaries for the Annual Art Exhibition. The girls work looks stunning and it will be a great evening where we will also welcome back an old girl, Camilla Yadgaroff to present the prizes – she is an Architecture and Design Coordinator at Swarovski.
Have a lovely half term,
Amanda Leach
Thought of the week:
Year 8M did a wonderful assembly on the poem Desiderata. They knew the poem off by heart and put together a wonderful powerpoint. This is the final slide:
The UVIth leaving – I remember them when they were Year 7s! How well they have grown up. Good luck in your exams, ladies, not that you’ll need it because you’ll be brilliant!
