Head Girl’s Blog – 28th April 2016

It was wonderful having Peter Baron in for the whole of Tuesday giving us A level students an Ethics study day including looking at his reliable predicted questions for this year’s exams! Having been to quite a few lectures where Mr Baron has spoken, A2 students could not wait to ask questions in a smaller setting where we could get a comprehensive and helpful answer for our exams. We were told what to avoid doing in the exam and how to distinguish our essays from the hundreds of thousands examiners receive. There were also a few lively debates on ethical dilemmas and interesting discussions on philosophers between Mrs Hamley and Mr Baron.
Some girls were also lucky enough to get an autograph on Peter’s revision guide book with the motto of the Enlightenment era on them, ‘Dare to reason’.
Below is a link to Peter Baron’s website which along with revision resources has many interesting articles on ethical issues today.
