We know you’ve been anxiously awaiting updates from our staff about activities week – the first few are in! Here are Miss Brown’s update from Germany and Mr Hegarty’s update from the Isle of Wight:
Days 1 & 2
Grüße aus Boppard,
We arrived safely in sunny Boppard yesterday around 6 PM. The journey went smoothly and all the girls were very well behaved.
Once we had settled in our rooms we went down for dinner and tucked into a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant.
As in previous years, the hotel singer played some pop songs for the girls and then invited them up to the stage to do Karaoke. Miku, Francesca, and Nouf were very brave and went first and impressed the German guests with their version of the Little Mix classic ‘Black Magic’. Next up were Lily Mae and Soraya who sang ‘One Call Away’ and then a group performance of Justin Bieber by Clemmie, Erona, Ella, Katrina, Georgia, and Zeena which was received with a big round of applause from the hotel guests!
The evening finished with Yesim, Rosie, Adiva, Sarah , Anastasia, Emma, and Eleanor singing ‘Little Do you Know’ and this was a lovely way to end a very pleasant evening.
This morning after breakfast we walked up to the chairlift. Everyone was very brave and rode the chairlift to the top of the hill and took in the wonderful views of the Rhine Valley. At the top, it started to rain so we had a hot chocolate and admired the scenery before heading back down to the village and going to the swimming pool in Koblenz.
This evening before dinner we will do some souvenir shopping before round 2 of More House Karaoke begins!

We have had a busy day in the Rhineland! This morning after breakfast and a room inspection (all rooms were very tidy) we boarded a boat to the very pretty town of St Goar.
It has been raining today and as there was a risk of lightning we couldn’t do the tour of the castle ruin as planned so we went to the Teddy Bear and Doll Museum instead. The museum exhibits teddies and dolls which are over two hundred years old and there are displays which show how toys have developed over the past two hundred years. It was very interesting although some of the dolls were a little scary…they also had a teddy bear clinic where you can have your favourite teddy repaired!
The sun came out at lunchtime and we were able to eat our sandwiches by the river and then go for an ice cream. After a quick stroll around the town we got on the coach to Koblenz to see where the river Mosel and Rhine meet, and we are about to go bowling – I will let you know the winning team tomorrow!
We are going to have dinner at 7 PM and then have an evening of team building lead by Mr Carroll.
Tomorrow is the much-anticipated trip to Phantasialand!

Isle of Wight
All well in the Isle of Wight – mixed weather but so far no complaints! Girls are really mucking in and have been doing a scrap heap challenge, where a catwalk outfit was to be created out of rubbish. Genevieve won.
