Views from our Study – Merry Christmas!

It’s the last day of the Autumn term and what a wonderful day we’ve had! This week has been packed full of festive fun, the perfect way to send students and staff off on their Christmas holidays.

Last Day

We began with our end of term Carol Service in the intimate surroundings of the school dining room, enjoying some beautiful readings from staff and pupils, and stunning music performed by the Senior Chamber Choir.

We finished off with our traditional Celebration Assembly, a chance to look back at the whole term and celebrate the hard work all pupils have put into all aspects of school life. Well done to Grace, Emma, and Yasmin for being awarded the highest number of credits this term, and 8TW for winning Form of the Term.

Christmas Concert

Last night, we enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Concert at Holy Trinity Church in South Kensington. The service featured a wonderful mix of music from all choirs, ensembles, and soloists. Well done to everyone who made the evening so very special!

Christmas Jumper Day

On Tuesday, all students and staff came out in their best Christmas gear for Christmas Jumper Day! We saw some incredible outfits, and topped it off with an incredible Christmas feast.

Christmas Fayre

The Christmas Fayre was a huge success! The pupils raised £562 for Cancer Research UK and the Parents’ Association raised an incredible £4,000. Thank you once again to all pupils, parents, and staff who worked so hard to make this year’s Fayre such a success and to all parents for their generous donations to the raffle and tombola.

Goodbyes

Today, we will sadly say goodbye to a few pupils and members of staff. Mr David Anstice-Pim is leaving us to explore the ‘real’ world away from teaching, and Mrs Rhiannon Gilbertson and Mrs Saskia Fischer are off on maternity leave. We wish them all the best in their new ventures and I hope that they will pop in when they are next in the Pont Street vicinity.

Finally, a big thank you from all the staff at More House for the wonderful gifts that we have received. It was most kind of you and I know that they will be enjoyed over the festive period.

Have a wonderful time with family and friends over the holidays!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at More House!
