Happy 2019! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas break with your friends and family.
Firstly, good luck to all the girls who sat their 11+ examination with us today and also to our year 11 pupils who have been sitting their mock examinations this week.
It was also lovely welcoming back Mrs Gilbertson (Head of Latin and Classics) and Mrs Fischer (English and Drama), who have returned from their maternity leaves.
And finally, congratulations to Brahim and his team, who won two awards from our catering company, Connect Catering.
Year 7 Art Trip
Year 7 went on a trip to visit the Turners at the Tate Britain. We took the opportunity to get a snap with Monster Chetwynd’s huge slugs! Well done year 7, you behaved impeccably!
Art Detectives at St Mary’s
The sixth form Art Detectives returned to St Mary’s in Hampstead to introduce year 5 girls to pop art and abstract art. The girls mind mapped their responses and will create their own artworks from these responses. We’re looking forward to seeing the outcomes!
Now, looking forward – we have an exciting term ahead of us.
This term, rather than our regular lunchtime activities, staff will be running a series of themed weeks. Over the term, girls will be able to attend talks, activities, competitions, and a whole host of other fun and interesting events during their lunch break. The themes are: Around the World, Money Matters, Careers, Science, Sport, Film, Stage and Literature, Wellbeing, and Spiritual Life and Lenten Fundraising. We’ll kick off with The Country in Which We Live next week.
